Not good enough

Lance and I are apparently not good enough to be puppy parents.

Application - denied. We received no response, which is a denial.

The puppy is listed as being adopted as of today.

Lance is really upset. I am more upset because he's upset because I was not getting my hopes up anyway.

Anyway, it's late. I'm tired. I was out bowling with the majority of my classmates. Some alcohol was involved. It makes me a genius at bowling, and it's a sport I usually suck at.

Now I feel perfectly sober. Just want to go to bed.

I'm sorry. It's amazing how hard it is to adopt a puppy. I think it's easier to adopt a child. (That's partially a joke but almost true.)

I'm soooo much better at bowling when I'm drinking. I'm not half-bad sober - but the alcohol keeps my wrist from hurting for a little longer than usual so I can throw a little harder and WHOOO! there goes my score. Love it! :)

I would call the place and ask if there was something specific they did not like about your application (that way you know what they are looking for)! I wish you lived closer. My brother will have some beautiful boxer babies ready in a few weeks. :)

Don't think of it as YOU being rejected - there was probably already an application in the works for the dog. And I would encourage you to follow up with a phone call too to see if there WERE any issues you & Lance need to know about for the future. My guess is not, but that someone had already begun the process before you is all.

I'm sorry to hear that :-( But with auch a cute puppy I'm sure there were dozesn of applications. Hopefully she has a good new home!

I feel like Small Fuzzy Dog was meant to be *our* dog - he wasn't right for anyone but us. Your 'soul dog' will be along shortly =)
