May. 25th, 2008 09:46 amI picked up some pills for Reece yesterday - bladder/kidney infection treatment, which we still haven't entirely confirmed that she has (her first urinalysis was inconclusive due to a diluted sample, but she has all the signs of an infection).
$68. ACK!
But anyway, I now see that the best way to give her these pills is to hide it in a spoonful of peanut butter.
Also, she hates Frontline. I tried to apply some last night and it took 3 attempts to finish off the application. She kept running away. And now she has a nice greasy spot in between her shoulder blades.
I'm going to try some over the counter stuff from now on. It's a fraction of the cost. I saw an ad for it in Better Homes and Gardens yesterday.
Today I need to get some housecleaning done. But then again, there is never a time when the house is totally clean, especially since we got Reece. Lance wants to call up one of his friends and take Reece over to meet their dog. They have a tiny dog...not sure of the breed. Lance already warned them that Reece can be rather aggressive in play, but they said it was okay. And I can tell that Reece needs to be with other dogs. Every time we encounter other dogs on our walks, she is sad when she can't interact with them. We want to get another dog eventually, but only when Reece is older, and our next dog will probably not be a puppy.
In Eva news, she is back in Guam now. She is happy, healthy, and you are barely able to tell that she ever had surgery. The difference is truly astonishing.

Date: 2008-05-25 09:32 pm (UTC)I would highly recommend sticking with frontline or another vet approved flea treatment. You do NOT want to mess around with a flea infestationl.
