Here's the story...of a dog named Munchy...

She can now reach the stovetop when she stands on her hind legs.

This means that she can grab a spoon which was being used to stir taco meat.

This means that she almost knocked over the skillet of said taco meat...while it was still a block of raw ground beef sitting in the pan.

This means that Mommy will never be able to leave the kitchen again while dinner is cooking...unless dinner is being made in the oven.

Yeah... this is why we have a baby gate handy for the kitchen. Puck's too short to actually cruise the counters, but he TRIES...

Before the gate, we'd just move the crate to the door, and let him watch us from inside the crate.

Have you tried blocking off the kitchen with a baby gate? I can't do that with my open floor plan, but if you can make a barrier it might not be a bad idea to keep her out while you cook.
