I've been off visiting with my parents...or rather, they've been visiting us. And we've had a really nice time so far. The weather has been perfect.

They got here last Wednesday night, so we couldn't do much. We just had some snacks and wine and then they called it a night.

Thursday was spent mostly hanging around the house. We went out to Walmart and to the grocery store to get some odds and ends and to pick up steaks to grill for dinner. Lance took off early from work and we just sat out on the patio and talked for a long time.

Yesterday, we went to Mt. Rainier. Gorgeous day for that too, except that the mountain was very clear on the way down, and completely obscured by clouds once we were in the park. That's because we were on the opposite side of the mountain. Once we left the park, you could see it again. We stopped at a gas station on the way back so that Mom could get a clear shot of the mountain, since she couldn't photograph it in the park.

We had a picnic at the park - Subway sandwiches with our own chips and drinks. And Subway's cookies.

Reece was with us and she was very good. It's funny, but I noticed as we were leaving the park that she spelled the word "Jif" on the window with her nose. I showed Mom, and we were laughing. Reece eats Jif peanut butter...that's what I put in her Kong. So when we got home, I gave her some...ask and ye shall receive. HAHAHA.

We were going out to dinner anyway, so she had to be crated. We wanted Mexican. We tried Azteca, but they had a sign posted outside saying that their liquor license was revoked, so we ended up at El No Que No, which was so much better anyway. And their margaritas were ginormous. We had a huge delicious meal. There was live music, really fun and colorful decor. It was a great place. My parents loved it.

Today, we're going to Woodinville to visit the wineries. Lunch at Red Hook.
