Jan. 30th, 2009 07:58 pmOk. Pizza Hut's pasta is okay and all. I mean, Lance and I order it every once in awhile if it's been a long day and I don't feel like cooking. The bacon mac & cheese is pretty good.
But it DOES NOT taste like authentic Italian food.
Who do they think they're fooling with their new commercial? They actually went to Italy and had Italian people try their pasta and declare that it tastes like Mom's?
Bullshit.
Their new commercial kind of ticks me off. I mean, that's like taking Olive Garden to Italians and having them declare that it tastes like Grandma's cooking. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Olive Garden is not authentic, and neither is Pizza Hut, for damn sure.
I mean, they serve their purpose, and they're good. But they are NOT authentic Italian.

Date: 2009-01-31 03:54 pm (UTC)But it's Italian that I love above any other cuisine. Italian and Greek, I should say. I had *the best* Italian in Germany (even better than what I ate in Italy), and it was all authentic.
