I think I've mentioned Oil & Vinegar multiple times on my Live Journal. It was one of my favorite stores in Aachen, but there were locations elsewhere in Europe. Whenever I saw one, I would stop in. Some of their stuff was a bit spendy, but I loved their bruschetta dip mix, and then found something that tasted almost identical (and was much cheaper) at a discount retail chain in the Netherlands and Germany.

There is one here in the Seattle area! I wouldn't even have thought to look, but last night at The Red House, a woman walked in carrying an Oil & Vinegar bag.

YES! Must stop by next time I'm up in Bellevue. I'm surprised there isn't a location in downtown Seattle somewhere, near Pike Place Market, say. But there are already stores in that area that sell similar types of stuff.

I know there is a LUSH in town too, but since I no longer have a good soaking tub, I am no longer feeling the LUSH love.

I recommend the dip/seasoning mixes because they are so versatile. They make great dips for bread, great sauces for pasta, etc.

You know, actually, after I started thinking about it, I am pretty sure I've shopped at one before. It was in Dallas, although it's not there anymore (I looked for it this summer when I was there), but I remember them having lots of samples of dips that they sold mixes for. I bought one mix, some oil, and some blue-cheese stuffed olives there a couple years ago. It's got to be the same place. Anyway, I did like it a lot!

AND I even have an oil and vinegar icon that I should have used earlier.
