Lance just texted me to tell me that Fred Phelps and his evil minions are picketing outside Tinker AFB today.

So...if you're in that area...be warned.

It's not only bizarre, it's evil, disgusting, and hurtful to society.

Not sure why they are targeting Tinker specifically, but who knows why they do anything that they do? How can people have so much hatred?

Yes, they do. Not sure if there are any going on in that area right now, but several units at Tinker are deployed at the moment, so it's possible that's why they're there.

If you've got the stomach for it, google for "Addicted to Hate," the story of Phelps's life, and the life he gave his children.

He's dangerously mentally ill, my unprofessional diagnoses based on that story, which is based on what people who have seen within the family (including a couple of children who got away) have said.

I don't even have the stomach to see his website. It makes me nauseous. I think Lance and I looked at it once and I had to turn away from it. Everything about these people makes me ill.

That is a hate group mascarading as a church. I hate they even carry the "Baptist" name on their church. They are not Baptists. They are con men.

Phelps and company do the most hateful protest they can with the hopes that you will do something stupid and violate their rights. Then they rightfully sue you in court. Is it any wonder so many of them are lawyers?

The church building they took over -- where Fred was originally a Baptist pastor, then the church left, and he got to keep the building, and the name -- was a Baptist church. No actual Baptist church wants anything to do to them, as much as lots of Baptists (not all) are bigots in their own right.

P.S. And no doubt Phelps thinks that "Tinker" is some code name for something homo. You know, like "Tinkerwinker", the way you would pronounce Tinkywinky in some accents.
